① negative form

* do not / does not + 원형

I / You / We / They	do not (don't)	work.
He/ She / It	does not (doesn't)	work.

 

② present simple questions

* Do / Does + 주어 + 원형

Do	I / you / we / they	work?
Does	he / she / it	work?

 

③ We use do/does and do not/does not in short answers.

Yes	I / you / we / they	do.
	he / she / it	does.
No	I / you / we / they	do not (don't).
	he / she / it	does not (doesn't).

 

④ Use

* I don't understand this.

* Mark doesn't go to school at the weekend.

* Do classes start at 8:00 on Tuesday? → No, they don't

* Do girls study more than boys? → Yes. they do.

* Does your school have a similar timetable? → Yes, it does.

* Does Mark go to school on Friday afternoon? → Yes, he does.
